My local Kroger’s sold a cracker spread that we loved and when they suddenly discontinued it I was very glad that I had kept the ingredients list from an old container. With that list and a few experiments – here it is! Great on a sturdy cracker. A little spicy too – just right!
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: 1 to 8 depending on appetite
Ingredients
8 ounce block cream cheese, softened
8 ounces imitation Krab, cut up (Can use real crabmeat, but…. ?)
½ cup chili sauce
2 tsp. horseradish
½ tsp. Old Bay Seasoning
1 tsp. dried chives
¼ tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. very finely minced onion (and green onion would be very good)
1 can water chestnuts, finely chopped (optional, but worth it)
Directions
Mix all together. Refrigerate as long as you can stand it.
Serve with sturdy crackers or a spoon ?
