Grandma Hannah’s Sausage Casserole

This was my grandmothers recipe.

Difficulty: Easy

Servings: 12

Ingredients

1lb. ground beef
1lb. ground sausage
6 chicken bouillon cubes
2C. mushrooms
1C. chopped green pepper
2C. chopped celery
2C. uncooked rice
½ C. grated parmesan cheese
1tsp. salt
½ tsp. marjoram
2-3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp. pepper

Directions

Brown meat and drain. Save juice from mushrooms add water to juice to make 5 cups. Boil juice and melt bouillon cubes in it. Mix everything in a large casserole dish and pour in liquid and mix. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 ½ hours. Stir occasionally and don’t overcook because it will get mushy. This makes a lot so divide it in half for normal quantity.
