Hot Buttered Rum Batter

What a great drink for sitting in front of the fireplace on a cold winter evening. Or even sitting beside a fire pit late on a summer evening.

Difficulty: Easy

Servings: 1-1/2 quarts

Ingredients

1 pound butter
1 pound powdered sugar
1 pound brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 quart French Vanilla ice cream, softened
1-1/2 ounces rum, optional
boiling water
nutmeg

Directions

Cream together the butter, powdered sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ice cream. Freeze until needed. To serve, place the rum and 2 to 3 tablespoons batter into a mug or cup. Fill with boiling water. Sprinkle with nutmeg if desired.
