Hot Pizza Dip

Wonderful, easy dip. Can be served with chips, but I like to use garlic-flavored pita chips and serve it with a salad. Voila, you turned your appetizer into a dinner.

Difficulty: Easy

Servings: 10

Prep Time: 10 min   Cook Time: 10-15 min

Ingredients

(1) 8oz block of cream cheese
(1) 8 oz can pizza sauce
(1) package shredded mozzarella cheese

Topping suggestions:
(1) package sliced mini turkey pepperoni
(1) small chopped onion
(1) small chopped green bell pepper
sliced jalapeno
sliced black olives

Directions

Spread room temperature cream cheese in bottom of casserole dish (I use a 9×13). Pour pizza sauce over cream cheese and spread evenly. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top. Add toppings of your choice.

Bake at 375 for 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly. Serve with your favorite chip or cracker.

Ok, this was a great idea to work with teens with big appetites. I used extra sauce and mixed cooked up hamburger and sliced pepperoni in with the sauce to make it more filling for my boys. This actually tastes great with tortillas. We also had thin slices of French bread and the kids scooped it on, spread it, and snarfed it up. Went through almost two full loaves. Reheats well with the microwave. Went over very well.
