Jalapeno Peppers

We are going to have bucket loads of jalapeno peppers this year! I am not too much into hot relish, but would love to have as many recipes as possible to fully utitilize them.

We really, really liked these bread & butter pickled jalapenos:

We only made a small test batch and kept them in the refrigerator. This year I plan to use whole spices instead of the ground spices, and do a bwb with them for shelf storage.

Pickling in various ways (including the B&B that Pete mentioned) is a good way. Pickling them without any sugar and cut in halves – you can drain and stuff those for an appetizer. Also great to use in salsa if you like yours warm ūüôā And a co-worker told me this morning that HIS favorite Pepper Butter is made with all jalapenos.

I never have worked with jalapeno peppers except in a relish recipe but in searching the internet I came across this site which had some good ideas.
Hope this is allowed to do ….

Don’t forget to wear gloves when you are prepping your jalapenos!

here is one I love. I’m pasting the link, it isn’t a preserve however. I hope it’s ok to put the link here…
