
Easy make-ahead oven French toast.

Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 1 hour, 10 minutesIngredients
1 loaf french bread
8 large eggs
2 cups half-and-half
2 cups milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 teaspoon each nutmeg, cinnamon, and mace (if desired)
Topping
Directions
Fill 9 x 13 pan with torn bread. Mix eggs, milk, half and half, vanilla, and spices. Pour over bread and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, spread topping over bread. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes. Enjoy!
For topping use 3/4 cup butter, 1 1/3 cup brown sugar, 3 tablespoon dark corn syrup, and 1 1/3 cup pecans. You can also add apples.
