Adapted from the Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread recipe on allrecipes.com. A great fall treat. I serve this with homemade sweetened whipped cream.
Servings: 2 8x8 pansCook Time: 45 min
3 cups white sugar
1 (15 oz.) can of pumpkin puree
1 cup vegetable oil
2/3 cup water

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 1/4 teaspoons ground nutmeg
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Grease two 8×8 square pans.
Combine sugar, pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, water, and eggs and beat until smooth. Add flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt. Stir bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips into the batter. Then, pour the batter into the two greased pans.
Bake in an oven preheated to 350 degrees. Check after 45 minutes for doneness.
Serve with homemade sweetened whipped cream.
