Quick and Sweet!

Post by community member:

Marking the arrival of a special date, holiday, or season is easy to do with cookies, and while it’s such a temporary thing–after all, cookies disappear fast!–it’s somehow an important celebration of daily existence. And even if you don’t have a lot of time to spare today, you can whip up something special.

Here are my three quick and sweet steps to Valentine’s Day nirvana for you and the sweeties in your life:

1. One recipe homemade sugar cookie dough. (Shortcut: Use refrigerated store-bought dough if you’re in a hurry! Don’t tell anyone I said that.) You can add several drops of red food coloring to make pink dough if you like.

2. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter and bake.

3. Cool, dip, and decorate.

Okay, step 4, start eating!

I used chocolate Candi-Quik for dipping, with candy sprinkles and cake gems.

Easy pleasy! Happy Valentine’s Day!

Morgan keeps getting prettier and prettier! I love that picture of her and Coco looking into each other’s eyes. Can hardly wait for her to get her horse – they are such beautiful animals. With your photographic skills, I’m sure we are going to get some amazing pictures! Oh, the cookies look pretty good, too!
