Good side dish or filler for your Mexican recipes.
Difficulty: Easy
Servings: 4-6
Prep Time: 2 minutes Cook Time: 17 minutesIngredients
2 cups water
2 tablespoons butter
2 cups chunky salsa
2 cups instant brown Minute Rice
Directions
Bring 2 cups of water to boil. Add the 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 cup of salsa and then return that mixture to a boil. When it is boiling again add in 2 cups of instant brown rice and stir gently to make sure all rice is wet. Cook for 5 minutes on medium heat, remove from heat and let the pot stand with a cover on it for at least 10 minutes. Do not disturb the pot for this 10 minutes. It’s important to let is stand still, …that’s what makes the difference between fluffy and mushy rice! Stir then serve in the way you plan.
