
This is our family’s favorite way of eating hot dogs. It is inspired from the Brazilian street vendor recipe. This recipe can be increased to feed as many people as you have hot dogs. Increase the vegetables as desired. The sauce also freezes well and can be used for future batches of hot dogs.

2 packages hot dogs
4 Tbsp. olive oil
2-3 green peppers, cut in strips
2-3 tomatoes, cut in strips
2-3 onions, cut in strips
garlic to taste
1/2 small can tomato paste
Directions
In a large skillet, heat olive oil. Saute onions, garlic, green peppers, tomatoes until soft. Add to slow cooker with hot dogs and tomato paste, cover with water, and cook on low 6-8 hours.
To serve, place hot dog on bun and spoon some of the vegetables on top.
