Oh soooooo true!

Famous last words..."I just want a small place in the country where I can do a little bit of simple living...you know a few animals ...chickens..a cow...maybe a few sheep...just kinda sit on the porch and live the easy  life".

Thats hilarious...

More so coz thats me, right now! 5 weeks into my new job of farmer!

As mentioned, i got the job on pure bias unequal opportunity: i never advertised the position, so was the only candidate. I never had to answer key selection criteria as i had no idea about the position description ive never seen.

How hard can it be? Seriously?

VERY HARD as it turns out.

I am up before the cockeral and i wake him up. As i catch a 2.5hr coach to city job at 5.45am. Thankfully only chickens, fence repairs, slashing & bailing. Compost n worm farm. I only work for pay part time 4 days. Farm either side of those hours and days "off".

In 5 weeks ive lost 7kg. My insomnia got cured over night. I simply take a daily dose of knackered, and asleep in no time!

Ive made such silly mistakes daily. And learning heaps.

But....

I do not regret this life change. I regret how long it took me/us to get into a position to do it.
