Big Chicken

1-2 bunches of broccoli

1 package shredded cheddar cheese

1 medium chopped onion

8 to 12 slices of bacon  ( i use the already cooked bacon, a whole package)

1 package of sunflower kernels

Dressing

1 cup mayo

1/2 cup sugar

2 T. vinegar ( i use white)

Make dressing and pour over all.  Better if let set overnight.  The dressing is also good on alot of other things.

I make a broccoli salad very much like yours with chopped sweet red onions, and I add raisins and chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans work well.)  That's one of my favorites on any salad bar.

I use raisins in mine too.  But I use the sunflower seeds.  It's a family favorite with us.

So glad to finally have this recipe…I've had it, but didn't have the recipe for it…kept forgetting to ask for it…it's a good one!

I use raisins and sunflower seeds too and purple onion and cherry tomatoes too.  one of my favorite too.
