Calico Beans

2 cans Pork and Beans
1 can kidney beans
1 can lima or butter beans
1/2 pound bacon
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon dry mustard
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
Brown the bacon, ground beef and chopped onions. After draining, combine meat mixture with the sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 to  1 1/2 hr or cook in the slow cooker on low for about 4-6 hrs.

My mom used to make something similar but I don't recall any lima or butter beans.  Maybe she did not like them.  I am so going to make this.

Yum!  This does sound good!  Have made a variety of this using dried beans, but the shortcut of using cans sounds terrific.

when i first read you were having calico beans, i thought just a bunch of different kind of beans into bean soup, but this sounds very delicious and different!

You can sub other beans for this too ,green beans,BBq baked beans, black eyed peas,Garbanzo, Also some like to drain the beans and add the liquid as needed. I like mine more like chili than baked beans.Try adding some Kielbasa and a little garlic or using ground turkey instead of ground beef if you like.
