Chocolate Chip Crack

2 tubes Chocolate chip cookie dough (or homemade choc. chip cookie dough)

12 oz bag semi-sweet (NOT milk) chocolate chips

14 oz condensed milk

2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 scant tsp salt

Slice and press 1 and 1/2 tubes cookie dough in a 9 x 13 pan to form a bottom crust.    In a saucepan over low heat, mix morsels, milk, salt until smooth and shiny.  Add vanilla.  Pour over cookie dough in pan.  Evenly sprinkly remaining dough over melted mixture (much easier to do when leftover dough is frozen and crumbled). 

Bake at 350F for around 30 minutes.  Start checking at 20 minutes or so.  If top layer is golden and done looking, the whole shebang is ready.  Remove from oven, cool, and cut into squares.
