Hello–i want to make peanut clusters this year, I hear they are simple to make, do you have a recipe that you have used?

       Thank you

Are you wanting just chocolate covered peanuts, or something fancy in the middle surrounded by chocolate and peanuts?

I make some chocolate covered almond clusters that could not be easier to make that always get rave reviews.  You could do the same thing with peanuts I am sure.

I just melt some Gheridelli (sp?) coating chocolate in the microwave, drop toasted whole almonds into it, mix it around, and drop small mounds of this on waxed paper.  I try to get at least three and not more than 6 almonds in each cluster, just because that seems to be a nice bite.

You could probably use whatever kind of chocolate and nuts you wanted to use in basically the same way, and make them any size you want to.

I do something similar but use semi-sweet chocolate chips.  I melt them in a double boiler, drop in as many peanuts as I see fit, then spoon them onto buttered wax paper to cool.  I use an iced teaspoon which seems to have a smaller bowl than a regular teaspoon.

Let us know what you decide to do and how they turn out.

I do basically the same thing……..I use the chocolate flavored almond bark, melt in microwave, stir in either a can of mixed nuts or honey roasted peanuts.  Then drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.  The salt, sweet, chocolate is just goodness!

Thanks to all of you, you have been a big help. I am going to do the almonds as well as the peanut clusters.
