2 cups sugar

1/2 cup hot water

1/3 cup light corn syrup

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 egg whites (stiffly beaten)

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup pecans

Combine sugar, water, syrup and salt. Cook stirring constantly, until mixture boils. Cover for 2 min. Uncover and cook without stirring to hardball stage. 254 degrees on candy thermometer. Pour in a steady fine stream over egg whites and continue beating until mixture holds its shape and looses it's gloss. Stir in vanilla and pecans or cherries. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. Makes 40 pieces.  Wink Leah

Oh how I LOVE good Divinity! I don't have a recipe. Now I do. LOL I have heard to NEVER make it on a humid day…not sure if that is true?

TRUE!!! Bella dont do it! The only time I ever tried it, it was raining and I had a goooey meeeesssss. Still good but it never dried…so I ate it out of the bowl with a knife.

But I'm trading Leah some for an apron. Jealous???
