Here's the one I make from a cake mix. This is so very good!

Magic Cookie Bars

1 chocolate cake mix – the inexpensive kind

1 egg

1 stick of butter, melted

Mix the above ingredients with a fork or spoon. Pat in a greased 11 X 13 pan.

Sprinkle one bag of chocolate chips over that. Pat down a little.

Sprinkle a good amount of chopped pecans over the chocolate chips. Pat down a little.

Sprinkle a little over a half-bag of coconut over the pecans. Pat down a little.

Drizzle over all one can of sweetened condensed milk. Do this slowly, so that the stream of milk coming from the can is thin. Take your time, and you can completely cover the top.

Bake at 350* until the coconut begins to brown, and the top is a little bubbly.

Remove from oven and place on rack to cool. It takes forever to cool, so leave time.

Yum!  Sounds very good, and relatively easy.  But, I kinda have some trouble with guessing how big a bag of coconut or choc chips, and whether your idea of a good amount of pecans is closer to 1 cup or 4 cups!  I'd really like to try these, so please let us know how big those bags are!

Thanks so much for the tip about the slow drizzle with the condensed milk.  That is probably where I always made the biggest mistake and never has this sort of recipe turn out at all well.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  Shimmy

chocolate chips is usualy 2 cups in a regular bag…coconut also.

Peacans I have no idea..because i buy the big bags for them.

Sounds delicious btw
