Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 cups flour

1 tbsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 cup unsalted butter

1/2 cup white sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 tbsp orange zest

1 tsp vanilla

2 eggs

1 and 1/2 cups chocolate chips

1 and 1/2 cups nuts (walnuts, or pecans or whatever you fancy)

Preheat oven to 350F

Sift flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.

Cream butter, both sugars, orange zest, and vanilla together in a large bowl until light and fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time beating well after each one.

Add dry ingredients and stir until combined.

Stir in chocolate chips and nuts

Drop cookie dough by rounded tablespoons 2 inches apart. I use parchment paper on my cookie sheet. Clean up is so much easier. Flatten slightly. Bake 15 or 16 minutes until golden. Cool on the cookie sheets.
