Pizza Dip
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated 8 ounces pizza sauce 2 tablespoons green pepper, chopped 2 tablespoons green onions, thinly sliced breadsticks or tortilla chips
In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and Italian seasoning. Spread in an ungreased 9-inch microwave-safe plate. In a bowl, combine the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses; sprinkle half over the cream cheese. Top with the pizza sauce, remaining cheese mixture, green pepper and onion. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 3 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Serve with breadsticks or tortilla chips. Double the recipe, if you like, and keep it warm in a slow cooker for parties.

This is definitely one I'm going to try — it's like Chili Cheese dip, only Italian flavored…..and looks oh so simple!

The picture looked like it was made in a pie plate, and looked just scrumptious. But I'm not so sure about putting it into a slow cooker! The thought of cream cheese warming in one just doesn't sound so good…

When I make the chili cheese dip, it lasts for only a couple hours in the crockpot, then the cream cheese starts turning wierd……that's for a crowd, but I normally make it in a pie dish.

I'm going to make this one. I make the chili/cheese dip in the crockpot, but I've never had it last long enough to see what would happen to the cheese. I brought it to a staff meeting as a snack during break, but it was gone long before then. Every time someone went to the break room for a cup of coffee they ate a little more. Poor people who didn't drink coffee never even got to try it.
