My main stay for Thanksgiving dinner is a pumpkin cobbler.  The basis is regular pumpkin pie filling (homemade not from a can) poured into a buttered 9×13x2 dish.  Sprinkle the entire contents of one yellow cake mix (Suzanne's of course) and top with one stick of butter cut in pieces and sprinkled with 1/2 cup brown sugar.  Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 50-60 minutes or until filling is set.

Probably season the pumpkin much as you would for a pie?  And how much pumpkin would that be?

I have a recipe for Pumpkin Dump cake and it calls for:

29 oz can of pumpkin (not the pie filling)

4 tsp of pumpkin pie spice

4 eggs

1 can evaporated milk

1 1/2 c sugar

I think this all mixed together makes the pumpkin pie filling that you would normally buy in the can.

I am so sorry about not giving all the ingredients and measurements.  Must have had a "senior moment".  But better late than never.  Follow Cindy's note above and there you have it.  Thanks, Cindy,
