Thanks for posting that! What sorts of dishes do you usually use it on (other than turkey s–t)?

It's a good sub for seasoned salt, just spicier but not overly so. Really good on pork.

LOL…my Dad and I lived with my Grandparents when I was a child. On Sunday mornings my Dad would butter two slices of bread and put a slice of Bermuda onion on it with salt and pepper and eat it…then he'd tell my Nana (from New Castle Upon Tyne) that he couldn't go to church because he'd eaten an onion sandwich. It worked! I tried it….it didn't work. But the sandwich was delicious even for a 7 year old

Your Soul Seasoning sounds better than Paula Deen's Season Salt! We like a little kick that the cayenne powder would add. I'm going to mix up a batch. Thank you.

This seasoning sounds just like what I might use to make up a batch of collards. YUM YUM makes you want to slap your momma they are so good.

Soul Seasoning is used in many southern dishes…….soul food, a southern thing! Someone just commercialized it, putting an end to adding separate seasonings.
