Thanks, Rose!  That's what I'd call oat meal (on the left) and rolled oats (on the right).  A fine oat meal would be finer than what's on the left but not as fine as flour?  Or am I guessing wrong, again!

Ahh Ha!  That looks much as I was mentally picturing Rose, this is very helpful.  Thank you.

I made a version of these tonight for supper, with the multi-grain I mentioned earlier.  They were great IMO.  I'm not a fan of flimsy pancakes I like more texture and substance than the typical American pancakes so these suited me very well.  I topped them with some sauted apples and had some bacon and a couple fried eggs and we enjoyed our breakfast/supper very much.

I have several in the freezer now too so I can toast them up and have with some jam in the morning!

I want to try them with the oatmeal too and compare things but for now I was very happy with how these turned out.

Good Morning!

I dreamed last night of windmills, grinding stones, porridge and oatcakes……..Help

Left, is our fine oat meal, much courser than flour in fact very grainy – about the texture of very coursley ground pepper.

If it's got tyres or testicles it's trouble. http://secondhrose.blogspot.com
