Dede, The Zinzer company 1-2-3 primer/sealer will deliver the same prep/prime for a top coat at about 10 dollars a quart. The paint store will tint it any shade you like. I had no idea this other was so costly.

Good afternoon everyone from a snowy Ontario. I haven't been by in awhile and received the newsletter today and loved it. I was trying to reply to the living in an old farm house but for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to do that. How has everyone been? Will try to pop by again soon.

Hello WV!

I did not use their new product (Reclaim) that is sold on HSN.  I used the Country Living products.  There are more steps but it was more in my liking of colors and the finish that I wanted to achieve.

As far as the cost of this product I thought it was worth every penny and was able to paint the cabinets in the kitchen, two bathrooms, and service porch from one gallon of paint and 32 ounces of toner.  I could not be more happier with the result.

Bad dede  laugh

I copied the cabinet painting conversation over to its own topic.  A great topic for updating cabinets without paying the brand new cabinet price!

Good morning! Mid-Michigan is BRIGHT and sunny. And covered in a foot of snow. It looks like the snow they use to decorate store window displays-flaky and light and lots of it. Just beautiful. Roads are clear but still no school. Switzerland- how could it ever be grey in Switzerland? lol

Aprilejoi,

You paint a beautiful picture!!!  We didn't get that amount here in southern Ontario.  I'm off to Waterford, MI on Friday, they got more snow… but not a foot.  Enjoy it while you can.   pawprint

That's typical Swiss midland winter weather. High fog which means a heavy gray lid and up in the mountains you'll find the sun. oh well, that's life! wink

TGIF!!!  Good morning, everyone!  Drinking my coffee and getting caught up with my chickies.  Busy day here, babysitting one of the year-old granbabies today.  He keeps me on my toes and off the computer (or else he needs to press keys and roll the mouse around). And I have to Colten-proof the house up a bit first…..

Good morning!  It's cold but the sun will come out and make it all feel better.  I don't know how those poor animals do it outside.

dede, you are absolutely right, that's why mothering is meant for the young!  We don't have the energy to keep up with the children anymore.  The energy after 50 comes in spurts and doesnt stay long! ha!  hole

laughlaugh My grandmother used to tell me and my sisters, "You three are more of a handful then 36 kids in a class room!"

She had taught school for many many years of 2nd graders. I never understood really what she meant until I had kids, and heck I am only 28!
