Here and Gone, Retired and Active, you make this country a wonderful safe place to be! You defend our freedoms, and risk you're life for all of us. You ARE appreciated!  Thank you for being prepared to give up to and including your life defending us.

Thanks to my father who served in the navy in WWII on a P.T. boat the same time as Pres. J.F.Kennedy, he was stationed in New Guinea, and to my great Uncle Kayo who was stationed in Germany!

This photo is of my Great Uncle Kayo who served in WWII in Germany. He wrote on the back of this photo "I had this photo taken after full pack field inspection!"

I, too, come from a long line of veterans.  From the Revolutionary War to the current war.  My husband served in Vietnam.

We just finished our Veteran's Day assembly here at Knob Noster Elem. School. I have never posted from my workplace (usually frowned upon). However, I am so proud of the high school ROTC and the 5th grade music class…I have to postyes. They did an awesome job! The rest of the student body was so respectful you could have heard a pin drop.

We also had a "wall of honor" …students brought in photos of family members who have served our country.

Very nice!

Thank-you to all who have served and are serving.  May this nation never forget the sacrifices made by a few for the freedoms and priveleges we all enjoy.
