OfflineRoss,
I agree about the price of the junk. I think the best example is "fruit" snacks. Look at what you are getting for the price!! And about some mom's working just to pay for working. I stayed home when my kids were little, it was very hard to make ends meet because my husband doesn't get sick days paid, rain days or vacation days. So when the weather is bad his paychecks are short and that makes it hard to budget. So I started working when the kids got to full day school. Now I work 5 minutes from my house, wear scrubs everyday, Grandma watches the kids in the summer (when they're not at camp), and I cook dinner every night. So sometimes it works out fine. Would I rather be home all day baking, gardening, crafting, and cleaning up--100% yes. But the strain that it took off my husband when I started getting a paycheck is totally worth it. Sometimes you just can't have everything. I get touchy about working because even though I would like to be a house wife and mom, we can't afford it. You can't be a stay at home mom if you don't have a house to live in.
