OfflineThe animal rescue group that I volunteer for is trying to fly out 4 puppies from Breaux Bridge, LA. We are trying to buy airline approved crates with some specific requirements and we may need someone to transport the pups to Houston. We are working with St. Martins Parish and the people who work there but if anyone of you are able to help on that end, it would be amazing.
I called Tractor Supply Company and they have the required crates but they won't allow us to pay over the phone. I'm hoping that someone at St. Martin's will be willing to purchase them and let us mail them a check. The other option is Walmart but I can't tell if the crates have all of the required features-most specifically a water and food dish that clamps to the door. Do any of you know if there are any other places that might sell crates?
Anyway, thanks for reading this and if anyone can help, please message me. Thanks!!

OfflineUgh! The closest one to Washington State is Redding, CA. They have a website but it doesn't look like we can buy online to pick up at the store-it says "only available in store" and doesn't give the option to buy. I'm on the phone with Walmart so hopefully they have some suitable crates.

OfflineThanks for all the advice! Zip arrived tonight healthy and fairly happy. He's a little stressed from all the changes but otherwise in good spirits. He's a sweet thing. He's in his crate howling right now. It's going to be a loooooong night if he keeps it up!

OfflineMy sister and her boyfriend have a nonprofit called Rescue Bank in Houston and in Dallas and In Baton Rouge. In Houston they operate out of the food bank now instead of their warehosue. they give food to rescue groups for the cost of frieght which is almost nothing. They started this after Katrina where they helped to rescue the animals. Food companies send the big trucks to them with food for freight cost. check out the rescue bank and email them if you need hlep with these animals getting them there or afterwards. they have tons of connections with rescue groups and helping people. they came to dallas once to get a dog from a shelter I called them about and drove all night. I dont want to give out her name and phone here but look up rescue bank online. they helped with the air lift of food and supplies for animals in Vermont as this year.

If they are well fed before the flight and promptly tended to at the end of the flight they should be fine for the few hours involved.
That is absolutely not allowed..if they fly, they travel in the downstairs of the plane and nobody watches them, if they get sick and vomit…they can die.
They even don't recommend water, but food is not even allowed a few hours before take of.
Just know that because we and many other I know emigrated and took their pets with them.
