Hi there from the farm! I haven't posted anything for quite awhile, been taking care of my husband who has stage4 cancer. I had him in the nursing home for rehab and we had to take him to the hospital when he took a turn for the worse. He has now stablized and as soon as we can we are bringing him home back to the farm that he loves so very much. His dog, Angel, and I miss him so very much. They have taken so many tests and his poor fingers are so swollen that he can hardly feed him self, besides his arms have developed frozen shoulders. I'm so very upset that I can hardly function, I would appreciate all of your prayers and support. Thanks— Alanna and Norm PS. Our wedding anniversary is on Aug 1 and we will be married 41 years.

OfflinePositive thoughts are being sent your way. Been there in your place, please accept the help of your friends. They will want to help, but not know what to do. Tell them. Visit with him, help you around your home, respite time for you, etc.
Above all, please make sure you take time for yourself. This will be one of the hardest journeys of your life and some time for yourself will give you time to re-charge.
Please, let us know how things are going, we truly care.

OfflineAlanna I am so sorry to hear about Norm. My prayers for him will be added to the others. I know first hand the power of prayer in my own life. Have a great day tomorrow as you remember the good life you have had for 41 years. Blessings on you both and prayers for your comfort.

OfflinePraying for you! My uncle who is only 28 has colon cancer, and likely less than a year to live. I totally understand the heartache of this horrible disease, but I also know that the doubting prayer is not answered. I struggle with this daily. So, believe what you pray for will happen! God can heal the ill, even those seemingly beyond reach, and he has given us so many resources in modern medicine. His wisdom is above all else, and he cares for his creation. My uncle's disease has really turned me toward my heavenly Father and brought me closer to Him through reading the Bible and prayer. I pray for the healing of your husband, but even more so I pray that this experience may draw you closer to the one who knows all things and is righteous and sovereign over all.
Love and heartfelt prayers,
Sydney
