So my husband left for town this morning to go meet his friend for a day of work in the village. This friend is our best Samburu (African tribe) cultural teacher. He shares all things animal with us and wants to make sure our son grows up knowing about the ways of a shepherd. Its because of him that we have 2 cows, 2 calves, a nanny goat, etc. Thank you, James! Anywho, he's been telling us he needs to see our goat, needs to bring the 'ndume' (billy goat), etc. etc. Lo and behold, he shows up this morning (after I know he's meeting hubby in town for work) with the billy aka Kevin. I'm a bit confused, 'cause I know he is supposed to be working with hubby and now he's wasting time walking the goat to our place from town? Except I did hear a motorcycle earlier…yep! He brought the goat on the motorcyle! Not alone, of course, 'cause you can't drive a motorcycle while holding a goat. So, imagine 2 grown men on a motorcycle, one driving and one carrying a goat! Tradition meets technology. Hubby says he is sorry he didn't get a picture for you, but he was just kind of stunned by whole scene. 10 years in Kenya now and we still can be surprised! I made him promise if they retrieve this goat in the same way, that he WILL get a photo this time.

Answer: ….he's gonna come see his wife!

That is hilarious! I had my daughter asking if I was OK I was laughing so hard! I definably want to see a picture!

I read this post first thing this morning, but am just now getting to comment on it, after running errands and going to bible study this morning.

Mamajoseph—this story made my whole morning.  Thanks for posting it. 

I could just imagine the visual that went along with it.  Definitely take pics when they come to pick Kevin up from his date.
