Hi, I am new here so I am not sure I am posting in the right place. I am looking for ideas to decorate and furnish. The farmhouse is partially done, but a lot of work to do. My husband and I are in our 50's, but we could not help ourselves. I hope we have many years to enjoy it. I hope to hear from many of you with your ideas. Thanks..LLHelloShimmySunPawprint

Hi, LakeLady!  What a great dilemma to have!  Did you get land to go with that farmhouse?

I, myself, would be finding vintage and antique things to decorate and furnish with, to bring it back to it's original farmhouse state.  But I would like to do that with my own house, too, and I'm getting there one piece at a time! Yes

Will you go over to the Introduce Yourself topic and introduce yourself so everyone can welcome you?

Hi Lakelady,

My husband and I were in our 50's when we bought our 150 year old farmhouse.  Since then my husband died and I take care of this wonderful house by myself.  I had a few antiques, as I owned an antique shop for many years but I'm always looking and renovating.  (I recently had the kitchen and dining room redone.)  It's a lot of work but you've got to love your house.  I feel like I'm it's caretaker for now and want to do a good job.  You can visit my blog and see all about my house if you'd like.  It's at:  http://shirleys-world.blogspot.com/

I dont' think LakeLady has a blog, or I didn't see where she mentioned it, but scorwin does and it's linked on her profile -- the little globe icon. Smile
