Hi all!

A friend lucked out & got an older kitchen aid at their free cycle.  But it doesn't have all the attachments.  Any good ideas besides ebay on finding some?  She said she tried the KA site & found they didn't have them any more.  I know for sure she is looking for the bread hook and something else….my memory has gone!

I think you can get most of those things on Amazon.

I (sorta) have a farm in Africa.

Is she absolutely sure that the new version of the attachments does not work on the older model?  That is one of the huge selling points for KA – stuff is interchangeable!

The caution would be making sure that something like a dough hook would be for the correct size bowl.  Other than that, what would be the differance?

I agree.  My dough hook, whip, paddle, etc. for my newish model fits my old Hobart model, too.  They're exactly the same.  My newish one is a commercial model and Kitchenaid told me I couldn't use attachments like the meat grinder, sausage stuffer, bowls, etc. with it.  Yes, I can and I do.  I think they just want you to buy the new fad-color-of-the-year models.

Kitchenaid ain't what it used to be!

Thanks everyone!  I'll let her know.  I think it was kitchenaid customer service that told her they wouldn't work.  Maybe she just got ahold of a newer employee….or they didn't understand what she was asking.

Thanks again! happy-flower
