I'm going to try that!  but I will put "Liquors" in small letters, since I'm the only one who knew where it was hidden.

Good answer,BUT WRONG Jayne…….If you are the only one who knows where the booze is? Why advertise its location. Gosh I can see that some positive thinking is needed around hereLaugh

Magnificent cabinet Jayne!  I do hope you can find some more.  It is ideal for storage and beautiful at the same time.

I just bought a male and female kiwi vines for $8.00 apiece from Lowe's!  Apparently, they are sexed and need one of each to pollinate.  We just love kiwi and can put it in all kinds of salads and jams.  To buy the fruit in the store, is pretty expensive–  +$1.00 each.  I am going to have to get a trellis built and get them planted–but the fruit they will provide will be well worth the sweat equity!yes

My budget plan is NOT getting a cart when I go to the store.

I forgot this topic existed!

Over the weekend we were given (yes FREE!) a 51" Sony Projection TV (2 years old)!!!  Takes up one whole end of my living room, but I can see it with no problem from the kitchen now!  There's a problem with the convergence (red/blue shadows on everything) and the guy was told it would take $400 to fix it……..well, with my little fingers typing on the keyboard, I found a repair kit (this is a common problem on these tvs) for $75 with extra parts and photo instructions, no high techy instructions!  Yay!

I had to go an hour South for work on Wednesday. A coworker and I. We went across the road to the outlet plaza for lunch and shopped. We both bought a 10 quart stainless steel Revere Ware stockpot for half off the original price of $54 at the Corning Outlet store. Woohoo! The Corning outlets have 'irregulars' at 50% off on cookware, including sets. Then we went to the Fiestaware store….. I didn't buy any. She did LOL. And uh the rental car was a VW Beetle :)

Well, it's no big screen (although I do envy that!), but I love old bowls and I got this enamelware bowl in near perfect condition for .25 cents.

It has two handles, I should have turned it a little. lol

I've never seen one like it before, and it was in a box from an old Masonic temple building that my city took over as an arts center and was cleaning it out. It was covered in dirt and grease and when it was clean it looked like it had never been used. It matches my vintage Foley Mill with it's red knob and handle.

That coffee grinder in the background I got for $20; no one else bid on it. You can see the innards of it on an old cloth in the background. My son is going to wire brush it a little, there's a little surface rust on the grinders.

I was the lucky winner of the BBB cook book drawing from last week.  It arrived this past Saturday during our garage sale.  I was about halfway through the first page when a neighbor lady came over and asked if I could get rid of her canning jars.  She doesn't want to can anymore and gave me a bunch of her old jars.  It was quite a moment.  She looked over the book and said that hers was practically memorized and mine would be too.

Things are going to be okay.

My budget plan is NOT getting a cart when I go to the store.

Have been wanting a digital scale for a long time.  The very old dial scale still functions just fine, but is hard to use, and very often simply won't work for what I want.  The only ones I've seen were waaaaay more than I wanted to invest in a kitchen scale.

Today in Big Lots there was a Sunbeam digital scale for $20.  Normally, I wouldn't really consider that much of a bargain, but since the cheapest one I've seen before was $43, this one came home with me!  It has a max weight of 5#, which will more than cover my needs, and weighs in either grams or lbs/oz.

Now, where to store it…    butterfly
