Did everyone notice the new ads on the blog page??? I just broused through the wwwcreateforless.com and it is very cool and very cheep! My favorite word. They have some great clearance prices on patterns 1.99! Check out the advertisers so they will stick with us! And we all need a new seed catlog! I cannot have enough of them. And in crafts I will tell you why!

Just one question — HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME! I have crafts supplies I haven't even unpacked (including about 400 yards of fabric for quilting) and now between your website link, and Suzanne's renewed interest in knitting I'm on the darn website pricing new rosewood knitting needles! As if I needed something else to occupy my "free" time. Shame on you.  (But thanks for the tip.)

I just found the local habitat for humanity RESTORE store–and it is about 20 minutes away!!

I should be able to get windows cheap for the chicken coop!  I want to have somebigger windows to make cold frames too.  Crap, I might even be able to make a small green house if I can get a good price on the windows!  Happy FlowerSun

My budget plan is NOT getting a cart when I go to the store.

The Restore stores are great!!  We found one in Kalkaska I think it was on our trip to the UP last year…… I didn't have enough room in the truck for everything I wanted.  Then we found one 20 miles away from here and their prices were so high I didn't buy much………. They do their own pricing, so make sure you shop (the one in Kalkaska even negotiated!)

Our local ReStore is a great place to shop, but you do need to be very careful about pricing.  It is not unusual for their price to be higher than buying something new at the hardward store.  But, they have things that you can find nowhere else as well.

It's always an adventure!  Fun.  And great bargains can be found.

Since seeing an ice cream scoop that looked more like a curved spatula than the standard ice cream dipper about a year ago, I've been on the hunt (when remembering to do so, which usually is when reaching in the freezer for the ice cream!) for something similar.  It was sooo much easier to use than anything we had at home, and we have one of just about any kind of ice cream scoop anyone ever invented.

Found something this week at Target called an "Ice Cream Whale."  Don't ask who makes it because the trash had gone out before I remembered that I needed that packaging to give you the particulars.  It actually looks like a whale, complete with eyes, and was displayed with the utensils and such near the pots & pans.

This is THE best thing we have ever used to scoop ice cream!  It slides right through the ice cream as soon as it comes out of the freezer, almost effortlessly.  Great for arthritic hands without having to wait until the ice cream practically melts to get it out of the box!  And it was less than $10.  Worth every penny.

I need to get my Mom one of those Whale ice cr scoops. Her hands hurt her a lot. Last time I dipped ice cr at her house it was so hard, it came off in little pieces so I asked everyone how many bites do you want?Laugh

Thought I'd mention this deal that's going on right now at Kroger, so that those who have Kroger (Meijer) stores in their area can check to see if it's running at their store as well.  Depending on your store and how many coupons you have, you could stock up on rice.

Yesterday I found the 1 lb bags of Mahatma rice on sale for 99 cents.  My Kroger doubles coupons up and including 50 cents.   I had 5 – 50 cent coupons, so I was able to get 5 lbs of rice for free.

I love the double off coupons, especially when the stuff is on sale!  Iwatch the wording on “buy one get one”, though.  So often, the store just increases the price on one.  They aren't going to give you something for free–ever.  Hissy Fit  We make a bigger consumer statement by buying only one when it isn't on sale (or not at all is even better if we can forget about having it until it goes on sale)< but when the price goes down, buy at least one or two.  NEVER ever buy something at full price the week after it is on sale.

My budget plan is NOT getting a cart when I go to the store.

Ooh, ooh, ooh!  Gotta tell you what we found today!!

Have always wanted a wood burning stove, but no where to put one.  Welllllllll, we now own one!  Have been trying to do the research on it, but info is very sketchy on it.

If you look quick, ebay has one just like it here: http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Frankl……m20.l1116

It's quite small, but all the pieces are there, and we did NOT pay what it is listed for on ebay!  We didn't pay what the shipping charge is!  The woman who owned it used it for a planter – never built a fire in it.  There are even a couple of pieces with it that we are not sure what they are for!

So, the search begins for the perfect spot.  Guess we first need to decide whether it will live inside or outside.  There is a potential place inside, but it looks so cute on the front porch where it is resting temporarily…

How very cool!  I love woodburning stoves.

Thanks!  It's a two burner, and appears to be fully functioning.  Am seriously thinking about setting it up in our almost a second kitchen area, that has no cookstove.  There it could be used as a stove or a source of heat.  And it might be the easiest place in the house to vent.

It would be much easier to use if elevated, so will do that wherever it lands.  Before any final plans are made, we must test it out – outside!  Check for leaks, etc.  Sure don't want to wait until it is installed to discover that it can't be used!

I love the old stove, Pete!  I hope it works…and if it doesn't, it's still a very nice planter!!  Oh, to cook soups all day long on the woodstove in the winter……….(I am not sighing here, as I do not want winter anytime soon Laugh)
