Hi friends, I don't want to be a cry baby, but I need some good thoughts and prayers.  My hubby of 41 years was just diagonised with stage 4 cancer (unknown primary)  He had his first chemo Friday and has had some side effects, but still has much pain.  The chemo is to try to shrink the tumors in order to make him more 'comfortable'.  The Doc thinks it may have started as colon cancer even though he has had 3 scopes in the past 10 years, he also said it may have started in the pancreas, but at this point it really does not matter.  We both are still in shock, but the reality is starting to hit.

Don't cry because it's over—smile because it happened!

Oh, Jeannie, our thoughts, prayers and all sorts of love are coming your way.  Always.  Every day.  We are here for you, all day, every day, when you need a diversion, a hug, or anything else.

We are all with you on this journey.  Know that in your heart.     Hug

I wondered where you had been.  I am so sorry for all the pain your husband is in and for the shock you are going through.  Know that there are people who care, even those you have never met.  You are in our prayers.

Saying we’re sorry for what you’re going through seems so inadequate, I suspect it makes people hesitate to comment Jeannie.  I’m sure you will be in a lot of people’s thoughts and prayers, I know you, your husband and your whole circle of friends and family will be in mine.

Jeannie-Hi! Saw your post and I thought to myself there is someone going through what my husband and I are going through. I feel on this forum that everyone ,even though I haven't met them in person, are caring folk who do care about other people. My husband, Norm  of 40 years was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer. When the Dr. told us stage 4 I felt like I was going to be sick. That was June 3-June 5th we started treatment at Hillman Cancer Center-pOart of Shadyside Hospital. If it wasn't for the drs. and staff of that center I would'nt have my husband here with me today. He had to be bathed by me,showered by me and depended on me for everything. On July 11th he walked our daughter down the aisle of the church without even his walker. There wasn't a dry eye in the whole church. My friends and family helped us pull our wedding off after planning it for one year for our only daughter. People come to Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh from all over the Us and even Europe. Our Drs and the staff are so amazed and supportive that my husband has no trace of cancer now. Have you had a second opion? You can e-mail me if you would like! Tell your husband that we are thinking about him and praying for him and you. I care!  Alanna Ps. My husband was dignosed on June 5th of 2009!Wave

I'm so sorry for what you and your husband are going through, of course I'll send extra special prayers up for ya'll.  I hate cancer…with a passion.  My family has seen cancer too but Daddy whooped its end.  Cancer can be beat and knocked to the curb.

Theres a lot of support and love at Suzanne's…you have mine.

Jeannie & Hubby Hug

You have been in my thoughts without knowing what has been going on.  You haven't been here and I knew there was a reason.  I am sooooo sorry this was the reason.  If it's possible, get more than 1 opinion.  And try to stay strong, when you're not feeling so strong to keep going, come to us, we're here for you! Jeannie, both you and your husband are in my thoughts.  Positive thoughts are so important to beat this.

I send you both my support and very best wishes, and hope your dear husband will soon be feeling much more comfortable.

Jeanne – Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.  Treasure every moment.  Hoping the presence of the support here and the presence of God's spirit will provide you with courage and hope.  Take care of you and do things for you, things that bring you both joy and happiness.

You, and your husband, are in my thoughts and prayers.

Everyone has a Prince Charming. Mine just took a wrong turn, got lost, and is too stubborn to ask for directions.
