OfflineJeri at NEC contacted me about a blog post and boy, did she do a great job! I count CITR as the push I needed to start making cheese. Suzanne's cheese challenge gave me the courage to try. The advice and supportive atmosphere on the forum is so helpful! Now I can say, "I make cheese!"
It's on the internet…it must be true. ![]()

Thanks for allowing me to share this fun news. ![]()
Loved learning all about your African journey! My daughter lived in Uganda for a year teaching missionary children. She loved it. She is now planning to go back next year for the summer.
she said Velveeta cheese and peanut butter were two of the things everyone missed while in Africa. We sent her some! We sent things via other missionary people coming and going. We sent things to a collection point here in the states and helped pay for extra luggage weight when they flew to Uganda.
Go ahead and brag…we like to hear how everyone uses CitR. We always like to see /hear other people's stories ![]()
Same as BuckeyeGirl, I wondered about your life in Kenya, but didn't want to be nosy. I had a cousin who served there for 30 years as a missionary nurse. She's retired now & back in the states, but I love to see her photo albums. They are downright gorgeous–her house overlooked a savanna.
I really enjoyed reading your post on NEC and through your blog! Very interesting life!

OfflineThank you for sharing your "brag" with us. The pictures of your family and the Samburu are truly wonderful, such vibrant lives in this area. It says much about your work with them. Like others on CITR I have been curious about your life in Kenya. God bless you all as you continue with His work. Your cheeses look super yummy.

OfflineMama Joseph, Read your interview on NEC. You must have the most interesting life that I've ever heard of (Suzanne's running a close second). Goats and rhinocerous (sp?), what could be better?
Tried to comment on NEC but they had that profile thing and, of course, being technically challenged, I don't know "what do". Sorry. But it was wonderful learning a little about your life. Thanks for sharing.
