I looked out of the doors this moring and was shocked to see the orchard is in bloom along with the redbud and wildflowers in the woods and along the fence line, and wild flowers in the flower beds yesterday I could see no open blossoms but this morning, there they are, how beautiful. Mother Naure is being very good to us right now.

Outside our kitchen window,  the backyard is green!!! Our son found another pup-6months old- this past fall.  Of course he brought home to us.  Our old dog decided she is now a digger!, yep, a mini backhoe disguised as 80 lb. golden retriever, thus we holes all over the yard, not even going to discuss what they ve done to the small flower gardens!    So DH fenced off part of the yard, brought in dirt, reseeded... The yard looks great..  So we ll see if it lasts, lol!!! We left up the fence into the garden, not even going to give a chance I there!

Out my kitchen window I can see:

The big lilac bush in full bloom

A few daffodils still nodding their heads

Little just-planted tomato plants stretching their roots

A pair of Canada geese swimming by in the stream

Robins trying to find worms on the lawn

And my DH driving his riding mower around cutting the sweet-smelling grass.

My zinnias starting to bloom and the new crab apple tree I put in the front yard a few weeks ago. I hope it blooms next spring, it will be gorgeous when it gets big!

I am up in the tree tops. Love that! Usually see birds, even humming birds in my window. Watch squirrels run up and top down the tree trunks. :)

Our kitchen window looks into our backyard, grass, flanked by trees.   This a.m., i was up before dawn,  kitxhen lights not on.  I looked out, trees were absolutely calm, and water drops on the windows-could it mean, RAIN?

Yes, in deed, we had 3/4" rain!!  Feeling blessed!!

This morning was so beautiful, low 60's and breezy, so I decided to have my coffee on the back porch, I went out about 6 am and while I was sitting there 3 beautiful deer came into our orchard and begain to eat the fruit that was on the ground, what a beautiful sight and what a lovely peaceful way to start the day. There was a buck, a doe, and a smaller deer. I think Daddy deer woke up this morning and said " come on, let's go, we are going out for breakfast!" happy-flower

For the past several days we have been visited by a Mommy doe and her two fawns, a sight that just makes my heart melt. The fawns are just precious, so small and still have their white spots. We have had apples falling in the orchard so they come to munch on that fruit. While mommy is dinning, the fawns run and play, and just zoom back and forth their little white tails standing straight up, it is a sight that I love to see play and we watch them until mommy is ready to leave. How lucky we are to see them.

Oh love to watch fawns play!,  but not much going on here.  Summer is still here, highs in the upper 80' s, nights in the 60's . The trees and foliage are still holding their green, our garden is slllooowwwllly producing, so I rejoice that I m still getting lovely tomatoes, peppers, and beets.  The dogs lounge under the trees and watching the squirrels scapper across the elecricity lines with apples in their mouths.

The deer have been coming to visit nearly every day, it is fun to see the fawns change and grow, the "mommy" is an unusal shade of tan/brown and the one fawn is going to have the same coloring. noting tugs at my heartstrings like baby animals.

The wind is blowing and it is starting to rain, leaves are blowing down like a snow storm---except in different colors, time to get the blowers and rakes ready.

I just cam in from outside and while out ther I saw a wooly worm, a big one, I dont remember what they are supposed to tell us about the up coming winter, but he was moving fast, probably looking for a warm place to spend the winter.

Out my window right now, swirling snow, and the quiet stillness that happens in this kind of weather. O, and the thermometer outside my window shows 22 degrees with a wind chill of -2. Good day to stay in, make bread and put on a pot of stew!

Outside my kitchen window the sun is shining brightly.  Cloudless blue skies with some wind (light compared to last night) belie the fact that it is 25 degrees.  Yes, mamawolf it is a good day to bake.  Thinking about making cookies and some banana bread.

Today we are seeing a nice bright sunny day, something we have not had for a while. The sun is so bright on the snow, you have to wear sun glasses.

We have not seen any deer for the longest time now, it is so dissapointing to not see them, have not seen one all winter, usally there are several at a time back in the field or in the orchard---nothing.

I hope they return in the spring again.

Sort of the same here!  With all this snow, we haven't seen hardly any deer tracks!

This morning, only one of the Tom turkeys came to feed.  He hung around the house all morning.  Finally, this afternoon, the other three showed up.  I was beginning to worry about them.
