This morning when I used the last of the oats for breakfast, I decided to discard the round cardboard container, but save those lids, it is amazing what they might fit, they fit my desert bowls to my dishes and some of the other small bowls, I have some lids that I have saved from containers that fit small ramekins etc. making them useful for storing small amounts and not use plastic wrap.

Joell, What a great tip! I just bought a giant round box of cocoa mix and put it into mason jars for storage, and discovered the plastic cover fit perfectly on my cereal bowls that I use for veg. serving dishes. Used the cover tonight on leftover potatoes. Thanks for the idea! fork

Remember, if it rains on your picnic it's also raining on your garden!

Every year I have to walk around our property and spot spray for weeds, I have issues with my shoulders and hauling that sprayer around filled with water (several times) leaves me in a good bit of discomfort, even though we have the property sprayed, we still end up with weeds. I used to drive my yard tractor around, but that didn't work out well either. A couple of weeks ago, I was in a store and saw on of those little carts that folks use when they walk to the grocery to bring there things home, I purchased one for $12 and I am using it to pull my sprayer tank around, it works like a dream. If you know someone that has difficulty carrying things around that yard, these little carts are great, and they fold flat when not in use.
