Late arriving to it, which is not unusual, but I was glued Friday evening to the final episode of "Monk."  Missed the first season or two, but became a follower of the series after that, and have seen most of the original shows during the frequent marathons.

Thought it ended very well.

Oh, my!  A fun new series premiering this evening on History Channel – "American Pickers."  A couple of guys roaming the country, going through barns and garages finding treasures.  This episode they are looking at a carnival ride, have picked up a really nice old saddle, and an old Phillip Morris sign where the figure's arm moves up and down.  I remember seeing those!

In case anyone wants to check out the series: http://www.history.com/content…..an-pickers

Haha, I watched that too!  Some of those places they went to were a hoot.  The one guy is a classic hoarder, but he keeps the stuff in barns instead of the house.  He finally gave up a few things at least.

We'd need connections to sell the stuff back again.  They kept showing how much they paid, what they might be able to sell things for and how much money the expected to make.  I wonder how long it takes to develop the network to resell that stuff again.

Cindy, the first show was last night.  It will be on every Monday, but I think you can see the first show from the link, maybe?  They ran it a couple more times last night, so it may be on again some time during the week?

I watch Biggest Loser every week.  I like Ice Road Truckers, The Logging/Lumberjack Shows…I am just not much into sitcoms anymore.

When I can watch it I do like watching "what not to wear" but have to fight hubby for remote at times to watch it. LOL

Canning and dehydrating will now become a part of my life.

I REALLY like American Pickers. Just need to remember to think about TV on Monday nights. I have watched some episodes of Ice Road Truckers in the past and that is amazing stuff. Saturday evening I started watching the History Channel – a show about Chinese takeout food and it ran through the making of egg rolls, then soy sauce, oyster sauce and fortune cookies. I ended up watching that and several episodes of Modern Marvels LOL.

Olympics.  All day.  Every day!  Most years we lock into some event and rather obsess over it.  So far this year we haven't found that event.  Although, really enjoying the cross country skiing…

Olympic Curling!  Finally Curling is on television!  I love watching it which is odd to some people, but though it may not have the excitement of moguls or racing, it's got strategy and suspense and it's own type of drama.

I also love to watch the nordic skiing which is also wierd to people, but cross-country skiing is one of the things I love to do in the winter, or used to love to do, not much opportunity in Ohio, not like in Colorado or Alaska anyway.

So many great moments yesterday and today!  Several countries winning their first medals in a sport.  Always nice to see.  But I am most excited about the men's figure skating title.  What a great evening of skating!

We watched The Informant last night.   It wasn't very good, in my opinion.
