Well congrats Georgia. I know you will make a wonderful care giver. I would let you watch my grand babies! Those will be some lucky children.

I've decided that since I turned 50 that I would do invetro and have 8 babies.

I sure hope God was busy and didnt hear that!

I'm leaving the hospital behind and going to keep infants here at my house. I have 2 lined up already and just need to get everything ready to do it. John will be finished with school in August, so Im hoping to start by September. I do love me a house full of babies!

Will you be getting your lips done also to look like Angelina????

Last I heard she was going for some repairs to look more like me!

And thanks, I am totally looking forward to it. I always planed to have 7 of my own and ended up with one. Thankfully God knew better than I did. So now I can spoil and love on them and send them home.

Unless God was very generous you might have had the seven more, but not at the same time.  One a year (or two) for several years gives you time to get used to the last one before adding the next one.  When my son was 4 I babysat for my neighbor's three girls (ages 3, 2, and 1) so she and her husband could go out for the whole day.  When she got back I realized that the phrase "watch the kids" was literal in my case.  I did nothing all day but WATCH THE KIDS!  I was exhausted.

I'm finishing up the house…I have my grocery list made…I have to drive to the vet (not a short distance, because I have to have the best vet…and they are never close) and pick up dog food…go to the grocery…come home and put the stuff away and change clothes…go exercise…come home and shower (again)…start cooking.

I'm making The Barefoot Contessa's Coconut Cupcakes (not the mix), Pinwheel Cake (and I have not posted this yet – I will, probably not today), Georgia's Mango Salsa…then tomorrow, I'm getting the baked beans ready for Saturday – and my Hash Brown Casserole…and I guess I can post those recipes too…another day.  I'm also trying that recipe for Junk Food Chunkies that was posted.

If I have time, I may re-pot a few plants…I have all of these cool pots…and all of these rooted plants…and I really need to pot them.

I'd love to have a house full of babies, only if Brad (and his $) came with them!!

A very dear friend of mine who is not quite 30 yet, has 6 kids, her youngest being 3 months … she is the mom I would aspire to be ….. calm, cool, born to be a mom and no desire to be anything but the best mom she can be.  And … they have darn cute kids too !!!

I am going to go visit a nursery or two and see if I can find some Monty proof shrubs … then I am moving the mostly eaten fruit trees to the back just in case they will produce fruit some time when they have recovered.

I am going to go and pick up a bunch of art work that I took to the framers … pictures from my year of sailing and from my trips to Cuba and Russia …. and then figure out where to hang them in my tiny house.

And I want to attend an anti-racist rally in the town center this afternoon .. had quite the nasty incident here last week, its on YouTube   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gKIW8RClyU is one version of the video that was shot.  It doesn't seem very dramatic to most, but we have a very small population and a very tolerant one, so when someone comes along and decides that you don't belong in our community based on race, color or sexual orientation,  then the hackles go up.

That is quite disturbing.  It would be like it happening here in this little town.  I sometimes feel we've been lucky for it not to have happened by now.

I have all my running around done – all the groceries put away.  I'm rethinking the exercise.  I think I may have had enough of a workout today.  It's 103.4 out.  That just wilted me.  I mean – my butt just got fried on the seat of the car.  I'm wilted and melted.

I got a ton done today.  Went to one nursery but could not come to terms with spending lots of money on things Monty would potentially ruin … I got some tickseed (coriopsis) in 2 different colors, some yarrow in "Paprika", a climber rose and some shasta daisies.  I love daisies and would have a whole garden of them if I could find different varieties.

I hung some bird netting around the roses … will see if that keeps Monty away from them.

Wondering if it's going to rain, or can I get a project started outside?  Dr appt this afternoon an hour away…….uuuggghh, I just hate driving distances anymore!  It takes up so much time when I'd rather be doing something productive.

I am waiting for the clock to get to 2:00, then I am leaving for a visit with one of my sisters who lives about 100 miles away.  Just me, no hubby, no girlie, just me!!!  Her Church is having an auction and yard sale Sat, trying to raise money for the buiding fund.  We always enjoy being together.

YES!  They are so wonderful!  I'm making the Pinwheel Cake because I've been tormented for months to make it…but I usually make my daughter a white cake with lemon filling and marshmallow icing sprinkled with coconut for her birthday.  I call it the Hell Cake.  Since I'm making the other, I thought I'd make her these cupcakes for her birthday…she loves them…and they freeze so well!
