OfflineHere it's around 40 now and I don't think it's supposed to get out of the 40's all day long and GUESS WHAT ELSE??? Yes, I thought you'd guess it, a very good chance of SNOW tonight!!! When people complain and scream about the weather, I just smile and tell them "You DO know what happens when you complain about the weather right?"

OfflineYesterday … blue sky, bright sunshine, 76 degrees at 4:45 in the P.M. – by evening dark clouds, wind, torrential rain, temps dropping.
Today … has not gotten higher than 48 degrees, cloudy all day, and ………… GENTLE RAINS ….. Yea, we need it! Thank you, Lord! ![]()

OfflineAbout 10 days ago we had downpours, cold weather, hail twice in one day … this past weekend we near melted in the first 90+ weekend of 2012 … this morning it's mid-50's and predicted to make it only into the 70's. I'm throwing open windows in an effort to purge the hot weekend from the house. Thursday has rain coming in and barely into the 60's.
I think "strange weather" is an understatement. Particularly since we're into the third year of darn strange fluctuations here in CA. You folks on the east end of the US will likely have some comments with that last gasp nor'easter! Stay safe.

OfflineIndeed the weather has been unusual. My favorite veggie farmer was selling strawberries last week. Today she has them covered to shield them from the rain. She said this is the first time she has ever had strawberries before the first of May. But we both agreed that we needed the rain. Until this weekend we have had only a quarter inch for April.

OfflineYesterday was a low of 33 and high of 60 and sunny. Today it is 56 currently and rainy, yet the high is supposed to be 81. Hmm. It is 11am now so we will see.
It is a funny sight to see with the all the country folk and their gardens… Buckets placed over each plant to keep them from freezing. We only have 2 tomato plants out now, and they seem to have survived the strange weather so far!

Ver cool and rainey this morning, we had a few good thunderstorms during the night hours. I looked out of the kitchen windoe a few moments and saw something I had not seen for a while, a soft steady rain coming straight down, not blowing sideways on a heavy downpour, it was the kind of rain I remember as a child, it seems that we dont see those much anymore.
