OfflineToday started out extremely humid and hot with a forecast of severe thunderstorms and tornado watch. We did get a few rain showers this afternoon and for the past hour it's a nice steady, light rain and the temperature has dropped about twenty degrees. Thank goodness no severe storms or tornado.

OfflineA balmy 70 degrees, high clouds and dry with some rain forecast for tomorrow. Colorado is very dry and there is a large fire in the San Juan mountain area of southern Colorado. Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona are extremely dry, as well as other parts of the country and the largest fire in NM history is out of control. ![]()

What a difference a couple of days make, when I went outside this morning, it was only 41 degrees. unbeleivable! This commoing week is forcast to be in the mid to 70"s, how perfect, although we really need more rain, I feel sorry for the animals in the woods, even those awful raccoons, they are all looking for water.

OfflineWell, I guess I fall into the category of those who are never quite satisfied! Last year at this time there was flood water as far as I could see with houses, trees, animals, you name it floating who knows where. This year we can't buy a drop of rain. We are officialy in a drought. We finally got a well point driven down, so we can water the garden and flowers. The plants and seeds are too darn expensive to burn up. This week-end looks promising for a little rain, so will keep my fingers crossed. 90 plus temps and thunderstorms aren't a good combination though.

OfflineAfter two nights of torrential rain, baseball sized hailstones, and tornados throughout our county today was hot and dry with no more rain in sight. Tomorrow's high predicted 90 degrees.

OfflineMamawolf, we sure could use some rain, we are bone dry here. It is going to be in the 90's for the nexr couple of days and a chance for rain Monday and Tuesday, I worry so much for the animals, this morning I took a big plastic tub down by the edge of the woods and filled it with water.

OfflineThe last couple of days we have been getting some blessed rains. Not as much as Alabama and Florida are getting, but decent rains. In between rain falls it is hot and humid. My geriatric cat doesn't want to move. He just lays with his belly against the wall. (I know, sounds weird, but it's a cat). Everything is still so green unlike last year's extreme drought. I sure hope we continue to get the rains. Texas lakes and aquifers still need replenishing. It will take awhile to catch back up.
