We sure could use a few summer storms. The grass is crackling under foot and the cracks in the ground are widening. It is hot, hot, hot! these 100 temps are keeping me in the house. I am so thankful we have AC. Praying that everyone back east gets the power on quickly.

101 degrees! I heard thunder this afternoon, then got hit with all of 3 raindrops. We really need rain bad here. We had a short lived t-storm yesterday but it was just enough to our nice breezy eve muggy. :(

Life is too important to be taken too seriously.

weather.com says it's 104 here…my thermometer says 107. I don't think I could tell the difference!

So far its 105 here today.   My dog, who loves the outdoors, is only going out long enough to take care of nature's calling and then its right back in.  Stay safe everyone and our prayers are with you all.

a new wrinkle—demands for power in this string of 100+ days has led to a series of transformer blow-outs and subsequent <very> local power outage in dozens of neighborhoods. gotta luv city living

We are having a "cool wave" only supposed to bet to 93 today, but with high humidity. I am so ready for fall or winter, either one is welcome.

Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

Here too Joell, high around 89.  I am SO ready for a cool, crisp day!  Summer weather and I don't get along well at all…never have, never will.  I'll just sit quietly here in my AC and patiently (not) wait for Autumn.  I know one shouldn't wish their life away, but…

79 degrees on our front porch, very cloudly and raindrops today.  It certainly beats 101 degrees two days ago. Yesterday we had more thunderstorms.

It is our 10th day without electric.  It was suppose to be back on yesterday, but the storms delayed two more days.

Our generator died yesterday and had to borrow our mother-in-laws.  Life has not been pleasant for anyone.  Our daughter and family stayed with us until yesterday when her electric came back on and is staying on.  Thank goodness.

All prayers are welcome.

A fresh heat wave has found and is stalling over California.  We're heading to 103 today in Sacramento area … 90 at noontime … with 105 and up predicted for the rest of the week.  The deserts in southern CA are heading to 120 and up starting today.  On that note, thinking 103 doesn't sound quite so bad as it could be worse, whew!

I was so mad yesterday!!! It rained to the north and south of me ALL DAY, like thunderstorms with lightening and pouring down rain. I did not get one single drop! The temp cooled down to bareable (90), but I am so tired of watering my flowers everyday! I spent too much time and money on everything to let it all die, everyday they droop like they are giving up! I'm south of Indianapolis by the way.happy-flower

Blissfully cool last couple nights, in the mid 60s.  Actually needed a light blanket (mostly because the fan was still running)!  Supposed to be in the mid to high 70s today, low 80s tomorrow.  Wonderful!  We could use more rain but we had a bit when the front moved in and I'm not going to complain when others areas are looking so bad.

All I can say is "UGH!" It is forecast to be 115 today.  I think I will stay inside!  I went outside yesterday to get some work done, and lasted about 50 minutes before I had to call it quits.

oklay okay, we've been complaining about the heat…but now, let's get together and really do something about RAIN. Do any rain dance you know, please. The corn and even the soybeans are on their last legs. Need rain to survive.

Don't cry because it's over—smile because it happened!
