I just spoke with my Aunt in WV, where she is located the temps have dropped down into the 60's and it has been raining there for the last 2 hours, we have our fingers and everthing else we can crossed! We had only about 1/2 inch of rain in over 2 months.

It's currently 70 degrees in the Charleston, WV area and we had two inches of rain today! Feels so good!

Like so many places, it is extremely hot and muggy with temps in the very high 90s. We have had no measureable rain for over 2 1/2 months.

A beautiful morning here, cool and breezy and 69 degrees--that wont last for too long, to bad we cant save a morning like this for another day. Temps will return back to hot and horrible this afternoon. I cant hardly for winter to arrive!!

Storms on the way again, had a good one last night, lost power for several hours and will probably have the same type of storm again tonight, we have the lanterns and generator ready.

What a glorious morning we had, in the mid 60's and breezy, I thought I was either in a dream or on another planet. A great moring to sit on the porch having coffee and remember what green grass and flowers used to look like, but I am thankful to have been able enjoy such a nice morning.

After a record breaking (temperature wise) weekend, we have overcast skies and cooler weather. In the Pacific Northwest (Tacoma area) we usually don't get summer weather untiil August….and here we are, in August, and breaking heat records.

Hotter than blazes in Austin, TX
Have pans of water out for the 
to stand in and stay cool. The garden is dried up and gone. Not sure if we'll do a fall garden as water is at a premium as the well is not keeping up. It's 101 and counting!

Feels absolutely wonderful at the moment, just before 7:00 a.m. Is 60 degrees on the back porch – doors and windows are open – although a tad humid, I guess, since things start to sweat after getting out of the fridge. Is supposed to get to about 85 today, but I can tell you that I am going to enjoy this coolness while it lasts!

We've had a few days of overcast in the morning, clearing in the pm and about 72 degrees. It's perfect after the 100' we had a week ago. Great for working outside.

Today is a bit muggy and warm, we expect a high about 96. We are hoping for rain and thunderstorms this week end into Tuesday morn. from Issac, we are in such desparate need here, there has been rain all around us but almost nothing here.

Several seriously dark thunder bumpers have passed overhead today. Am hoping for one more day of dry weather, as goofy as that sounds!
This is the first time I've ever seen our front creek completely dry. It did give us a good look at the bridge footers, and we did not like what we saw, so had some concrete poured early this morning to shore it up. Had to mix the concrete very wet because it had to flow under the existing footer. So right now we do NOT want rain even though all the plants and trees here really, really need it.

It was a slow rain here all day…2 inches so far. That is more than we have had all summer long. Things are really dry here. It has hurt the construction business…so dry no one will attempt to pour concrete. Now that is bad. Isaac has played havoc in the south but it been a blessing here in Missouri.
