Whoo hoo! Finally weather that you can wear a long sleeved shirt and not sweat to death! It is December after all. I am so tired of the heat. We ran our AC up until November this year. That is the latest we have ever had to!

32 and snow on the ground. Supposed to get more tomorrow. I wouldn't mind it but I live on a hill the the road up is slippery, even when they sand it for the school bus.

Cold and overcast, but some SNOW on the way YEA!! Not a lot but finally some white stuff, I love snow, not ice, just snow, we had nearly none last year so I am waiting to wake up and see that beautiful white fluffy stuff covering the ground and on the pines.

It is cloudy with a forecast of snow tonight. Not much if any here in south central Kansas but north and west will get more of it. A lot of the schools have closed in that area but with it being a largely rural area I can understand why. They have posted high wind warning for some areas west of here.
Joell, am I right that you live in north central Texas?

it's raining here in Beverly Ohio. Supposed to turn to a "wintery mix"… not what I want…we're supposed to head back to Missouri tomorrow.

We have bitterly cold temperatures. I think the last one I saw said it was 13 with a wind chill of minus something. The snow bypassed us. I am not going anywhere today just going to stay inside and stay warm.
Hope everyone in the storm areas are safe and warm.

Here in Maine at the end of the storm pipeline, it is 20 degrees, sunny, and windy. A group of neighborhood kids are playing ice hockey out back on our stream. But tonight the storm is supposed to hit us with at least 12".
We have no snow on the ground as of yet, it will be good to have some to cover up the brown grass and dead flowers. And make the snowmobilers happy too.

East central Indiana, we are having a blizzard. Been going on since 5am. So many accidents the interstates are closing down. Indianapolis news just said a flight finally got out, I'm glad I'm not of that plane. :(

A cold snowy morning here in NE Ohio but it's supposed to settle down shortly after noon. I don't mind today's snow so much, it's kinda pretty and isn't supposed to amount to much.

No snow here in south central Kansas but still cold. They are forecasting a 50 percent chance on Monday. It is a good day to be inside in the kitchen. I am making some croutons from bread crusts and will start the beef stew and chili in a little while. Oh, and while I am at it I will finish washing dishes and cleaning up the kitchen from the party last weekend. I get most of it done then I have to cook and it get messy again.

good morning from PA, The snow is coming ever so softly over the fields that once held our soybeans, corn and wheat. It's looks like a winterland out there. So beautifiul-But, I really think in all reality I'm probably going to get stuck if I try to venture out today. Keep warm everyone~ Alanna

As much as it can complicate our lives, farmers know that the snow is our friend. It actually insulates the ground, provides moisture for the land and helps to keep fungus and insect pests in check too.
And it looks pretty too.
