OfflineWow that is a lot of snow Victorian girl. Here in the Uk we don't get much. But rain we have in abundance. In some ways I would prefer it to snow as it does look a lot prettier. A lot of places over here are having very bad floods time and time again. We are fortunate to live in a fairly high place, but we got pockets of water building up all around us now. Sorry to moan about it Lindat when you are desperate for water. It is a shame we can not share some with you.

OfflineThe snow does look very pretty Morningstar. Today was very cold mostly due to the blustery wind conditions. I had some shopping to do so I made sure I wore my long underwear under my jeans, heavy wool socks, a heavy jacket and scarf. The wind actually made my eyes tear. Thank goodness I'm in for the night as I can hear the wind howling around the house and see the snow drifting all around. We don't expect any more snow for the next several days but the temperature is supposed to drop and get colder. Morningstar, my dream trip some day is to visit the UK, mostly to see the beautiful countryside, ancient castles and see some of the touristy areas of London. Hopefully this will happen before I get too old to travel.

OfflineWe have had dustings of snow for the past week but nothing to alleviate the drought. The high country around the
Continental Divide has gotten quite a bit but the state could stand to be hammered from state line to state line. Let it snow, let it snow!

The locals are calling it the weirdest winter that they've seen, up here in Mi's U.P. Finally snowed--bare ground up until yesterday! We barely had a white Christmas! Cold now though; the needle never lifted over 10 degrees today

SNOW!!!
Lots of snow falling now and the roads are slippery. I had to go into the city this morning, and the trip home was very scary,15- 20 MPH top speed for 40 miles. Lots of accidents. We are looking at 3-5 inches by late afternoon, early evening. So glad when I arrived home.

OfflineWe broke a record high here with a 74 degrees. The old record was 68. Tomorrow will be in the 60's and then rain with a chance of snow shower and then back up into the 60's during the weekend. Was a little windy while DH & I were out today but that is not unusual for Kansas. It is said that if the wind isn't blowing you had better be looking skyward.
