Because not everyone is celebrating the same Holiday AspenFlower. All are welcome here, by whatever name! If you are participating, be welcome to share your own celebration. We're not excluding Christmas, but including any who wish to share in the CitR Fellowship that the gift exchange offers!![]()

Sure you're excluding Christmas. Hence the title to your swap, "Holiday Swap." It used to be called Christmas Swap right? Unless there's a Christmas Swap coming soon. But I doubt that.

OfflineOK- this is more than enough arguing about this! The entire point is to share a joyous time of year with each other. No one is forced to participate. But this topic is for those who are participating in the Swap and for the rest of us to share in the excitement and see what everyone gets and gives.
Those who do not want to participate on that level are kindly asked to simply not post in this topic.

OfflineALERT!!!!ALERT!!!
Do you live in Maine?
Ohio?
or perhaps Iowa?
Keep on the lookout for a goodie package from a CITR member, it's on its way!
Others packages are on their way as well. Remember, December 1st is the target deadline for shipping. Be sure to PM Bonita if your snowed under and need to re-designate your swap buddy. It happens, we understand. It's just that we'd rather each particpant get a goodie.

OfflineI received a box from kathyb this morning.
I was so excited I just HAD to open it right then, I was in my friend's car so she got to see it too.
kathyb, THANK YOU so much for the lovely dark red knitted scarf and matching hat! I love it and will wear it often, now that it's getting so cold here. Thanks again and Merry Christmas!
Will try to take a pic and post it soon.

OfflineJust to note, I sent my gift out today. And hopefully it will be received by Christmas. The Post Office said it should take 3 to 4 weeks to arrive. So, my fingers are crossed that it's the former.
I have to say, Americans are really really lucky with their postal service. There are so many great things about living in Canada, but a decent postal service just isn't one of them.

OfflineI received my Holiday Swap gift today from MIM. Will post pictures later. Right now I am up to my eyebrows trying to finish mine so it can go out tomorrow or Monday at the latest. I would tell you what I am working on—-but it's a secret![]()
Thank you Mim, so very much. Will tell everyone what I got when I post a picture.

OfflineI got my gift today and could not in any way wait to open it!! It was From Linda T. in Kansas. Thank you SO much!! I loved it all!! A scarf, gloves, the pouches with dried apples in them (can't wait to make a pie) and the doileys!! They were all beautiful and I know it took a lot of time to make! I needed those gloves when we were doing kettle corn at the festivals when it was cold. Thanks again, I loved it!!!!!!!! Kathyb

OfflineReceived my gift today from SusieQ. I was so excited I just had to open it right away, couldn't wait until Christmas Eve when we open our gifts. Thank you, thank you, thank you, I LOVE the gifts you sent. I received the most adorable patchwork Christmas tree ornaments embellished with buttons and the sweetest Christmas tree pillow also embellished with buttons (I love buttons!). Without a doubt these will continue to be part of my Christmas decorations for years to come. Many, many thanks and Merry Christmas to you and your family. (If I was more computer savvy I would post pictures, you would LOVE my gifts!)

OfflineGot my package yesterday! Yay! I'm a little miffed at the local post office. They left it on the steps under a drip from the eaves and the mailing box was completely saturated when I picked it up
but everything inside was fine, thank goodness.
Brookdale, you were so very generous and I loved everything! I got muddy buddies (recipe included), a beautiful star ornament, notecards and a scrubbie. I've been eyeing those for quite a while but haven't had the courage to try making one myself; they look so intimidating to me. So thank you very, very much. I will get pics up probably tomorrow as I need to get my camera charged.

OfflineYay, I received my package from BunnyRuth!
A beautiful lamp made out of an old (glass-topped) canning jar. I love how the bubbles in the glass illuminate when you turn it on! And of course, the yummy home-made candies… those will not last long around me, for sure.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love the home-made gifts I received, and I am really enjoying seeing what others have received (though I would love to see some pictures, hint hint!)
On another note, I'm stopping at the post office this evening on my way home so I'll hopefully have a tracking number to PM you by tomorrow morning
Sorry for the delay but one of the things took longer to make than I had expected. I hope you'll find it was worth the wait!
