Is it gas?  I'm thinking a propane conversion for canning?  Put it under cover for summer use?  Baking in the summer and not heating up the house?  Growing up we had a rough basement kitchen for stuff like that…  sure wish this house were bigger.

BEG: It's amazing the number of people who have no idea what a 'summer kitchen' is…

Well, I dislike air conditioning, but having it would mean I'd bake more in the summer.  Would also mean canning would be more enjoyable too, but a summer kitchen would solve it all… house is just too small though.  I'm imagining an addition off the back with a sun porch upstairs and a summer kitchen downstairs.  *sigh*

It's only "$125 OBO". Good dang thing it's not one of the pale green w/black models or I would have already bought it LOL. Yeah it's gas. I have always wanted a summer kitchen and/or canning kitchen too. I went with some friends years ago when they were looking at a farm (that was ridiculously out of their price range). The only thing there I would have been thrilled with was the canning/guest house. A separate building, air-conditioned, with a commercial stove, huge sink, etc. on one end and a studio apartment on the other. OMG!

OMG!  Is it gone?  I would use that in the house!  They have this wonderful stuff called appliance paint if you didn't want it pale green!

That's a great stove.  I think most of us who can would love a summer kitchen.  I know I would.  pawprint

I don't think it's gone. Cindy, I would want one of the original pale green w/black if I bought one! I know it can be painted but that kinda takes the ambiance away wink

This FB page just started here a few weeks ago and it's going gangbusters. It's just a closed group in FB that's a sale site for this area/county. Houses for sale and rent by owners, you name it, it's on there. The first few days I scored 12 storage totes w/lids (18 gallon) for 2 bucks each. New. Used once when a family moved here. And made a friend in the deal too happy-feet

OH!  I meant to say if you WANT IT GREEN!

Sorta like a craigslist right on FB.  How neat.

I have a green one, with black trim.  It has all the pieces, I think, but I don't use it.  It is in the sunroom.  Mine looks more like this one:

 gas stove

I just haven't been the same since that house fell on my sister.

Mu grandma had one just like sparrowgrass', It was green, and I think it was propane or electric.  She had it in her kitchen right by the wood burning cook stove.

I have a friend whos mother has a very unique house.  She started it as a barn, then built a house above it, later moved the horses out and has added on several times.  She has 3 kitchens in her house.  The first one was on the first addition, a galley kitchen in a hallway.  She later converted the back porch to a canning kitchen and uses this one mostly.  But in the basement (barn part) she has a commerical kitchen that is used several times a year for family and community parties.  She also has a dance room with a disco ball and a auditorium.  I love her house it is so unique, you really have to see it to believe it.

I'm loving that stove sparrowgrass! As we "speak", my kitchen is torn apart .bomb Gapping wholes in the walls where the new outlets and switches will go as my uncle( a contractor) sorts out the wiring. New cabinets and counters made by his Amish friend are in a trailer parked in the driveway.

I am sooo excited about this remodel …… but did I mention I kinda am a clean freak and don't handle mess well? I warned my uncle this morning that I will not be held accountable for my actions lips-are-sealed until the house is back together . I "pre" apologized in advance as I know I will be kinda grumpy about being crampedpoke . He is remodeling the foyer, kitchen, powder room, dinning room and our old living room. Thank God the weather is getting nice I can be outside. Gardening makes everything thing better. happy-flower

Here is what to type in on FB to find ours – maybe the link will even work!

Harrison County's Facebook Flea Market: Wanted, For Sale or Free

just for those who want to see how it's playing out. Then, if you are pretty FB savvy – start one in your area! There are numerous 'docs' on the right under the member list. Scroll down the list and there is a 'How the site works' doc with lots of info re: rules etc.

Good Luck!
