That's a great idea Kelleh!

I -love- swap-bot. I got hooked on sewing dotee dolls for a while, but I forced myself to stop as I have swapped so many with people I don't really have room or need anymore. (I love them anyways!)

We used it on the quilting forum…and it was a “good thang”!

Are your sure you girls won't change your mind and get involved in the swap?

I think I have to say no too. I'm just too busy right now getting ready for Christmas and trying to get a small business off the ground. I won't have any extra time before mid December.

Also, postage across the border is very expensive. Maybe nexst year I can plan ahead for it.

Ok the swap is now closed…sorry if you still wanted to join. (next year)

The names have been sent out. (check your mailbox)

Please try to send you gift just before or right after Thanksgiving, so that there is lots of time to enjoy the (Christmas) gift.

By signing up you have yourself committed to finish this swap.

If you mail over land, make sure you take enough time, it is very disapointing if a gift is very late or even worse…never comes.

We keep it simple and not to expensive, not a minimum, you know best what you can spent
Main thing is that it is homemade, can be something canned, baked, painted, a candle, knitted, crochet, sewing you name it, there is something you can do.

Everybody have fun…I know I do…and now I'm off..I can finish one gift..(ok it comes in pairs tonight

Laugh)

This is going to sound terribly stupid, but what is a Christmas Swap and how does it work?  It sounds like something I'd like to do, but I have to know for sure what is involved before I commit myself.

Hi Helen, I'm sorry to tell you that for this year the swap is closed…names have been given out.

But what it is…you make a gift for somebody, the only important rule is..it has to be home made.

So it can be something you bake, cann, crochet, knit, sew etc…

The sender is unknown..untill the gift arrives.

No problem, actually Laugh.  But how does a swap work, because I'd like to know for next year.  I'm guessing its a "pull-a-name-out-of-a-hat" kind of thing, right?

Yes,we draw names to see who we're sending a gift to,not knowing who we're getting one from. All gifts are homemade, using whatever craft/crafts or skills you have. We did it early because the holiday seasons are so busy and somethings may be Christmasy,or to be used for C'mas.

Would it be possible for me to enter next year,? I would be happy to pay the extra costs for postage for both the giver and receiver.Otherwise it would not be fair.Think about it.
