Does anyone have a recipe for home-made cleaner for laminate floors?

Remember, if it rains on your picnic it's also raining on your garden!

Hi,

I have laminate floors in the kitchen and living room, due to my two weenie dog's the male had a few accidents when he was a pup, and um well he still does, so we got rid of the carpet. I use warm water with vinegar and just a squirt of Dawn dish soap, this has worked well for us and we have had the floors for about five years now.  We live in the land of RED dirt, so I make sure I dust mop first with a micro thingy and then use a mop that has been rung out well.  The floors have held up well and I have not damaged them yet by this method.  Hope this helps.  wave

Clean them the same way you would clean a laminate counter top. It is exactly the same stuff Whatever you use don't let it lay on the floor in puddles,  it will  the seams.

I've always used just white vinegar and warm water.  It doesn't leave a sticky residue that some floor cleaners have.  There is no smell left over once it is dry and the vinegar deodorizes and disinfects.  It is a whole lot cheaper that any of the other cleaners that they have for cleaning floors!

I use a shark steam mop and it seems to keep the grime down to a minimum.  It doesn't leave them wet either.

The flooring man tells me to use vinegar and water. I have a steam mop too but it will tend to leave marks sometimes on the floor. We have really hard water here..so I must assume that is why. Vinegar cleans a lot of things.happy-flower

I make a cleaner made out of 1/3 vinegar 1/3 rubbing alcohol 1/3 water  and a few drops dish soap. It is amazing. It works on floors, windows, counters. I use it for everything.

When I spill coffee I wipe it up with a clean rag and rinse it with clean water and wipe again.

Why go to so much effort to find something to clean the floor when the material is exactly the same as you countertop. It is just like washing windows. Windows are made of glass my drinking glass tumblers are made of ……….Glass. What do I use to wash my drinking glasses? Dish washing detergent. So what should I use to wash my windows? Dish washing detergent.
