Bonita,

I won some of the pot holders you donated to the retreat (thanks – they are great!).  I have to know where you found the cotton loops!  My mom loves to sit around and make those while she watches tv, but she hates the nylon loops.  The ones you had seemed to be nice and even (not thin on one side and fat on the other) and had lovely colors.  Where can I get some of those?

Canner Joanne: Believe me, I was amazed that 1) they were cotton; 2) they were generally of same size and stretchability. Often there are loops that stretch across only 3/4 the loom. I made about two dozen CITR potholders and did not have to ditch any loop for being too large, too small, or too shabby. The only limiting factor was the color, but perhaps that's what makes them so endearing. They were from Magic Cabin, which also offers a metal loom.

Your mom and I have something in common, I made those watching TV!

Glad you like the potholders–use them in good health!

Metal?  Amazing.  I might have to order another one…she uses that same loom she had as a little girl in the 50's, also metal.  All those plastic ones break if you use cotton loops – can't hold up under pressure!  Thanks for the info!

Laur,

Thanks.  I'll look forward to getting that info, too!  I'm so glad you made it home safely.
