Where do I find Lard?

Lard is rendered pork fat. If you roast a piece of pork the fat in the pan is lard. You can also buy it in the meat department of your supermarket. If they don't have it ask them to order it.

If you butcher, or know someone who butchers, you can render your own lard, but you can also buy it in the store.

Lard is an animal fat and shortening (like Crisco) is made with all vegetable. The most known lard around here in the grocery store is Manteca…do a google, there are different pictures of it. But Bets, you could render your own!!!
